TEALIVE, Malaysia’s homegrown lifestyle tea brand, received a warm welcome in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, at its debut, at the Aman Hills Shopping Centre on July 7.
It plans to open two more outlets by year-end.
Loob Holding Sdn Bhd founder and CEO Bryan Loo said sales went past 1,000 cups last Monday, the outlet’s first full day of operations.
“We are indeed humbled by the tremendous response from Bruneians and are at the same time proud that a Malaysian brand can offer what tea-lovers there need.
“Tealive is already a popular household brand among Malaysians. This popularity has helped us raise awareness of Tealive among Bruneians. Hence, our move into Brunei is expected.
“With the debut receiving such a warm welcome, we plan to open two more this year in partnership with our franchisee there. We can safely say we’re touching our 300th store in the region and we intend to continue on our growth path in the coming weeks and months,” Loo added.
It has since expanded into China, Vietnam, Australia, the UK and now, Brunei.
